Cultural Identity 

As South Sudanese-Americans the next generations come from a long linage of resilient cultured groups filled with a beautiful rich history. The challenges of assimilating into American culture while trying to keep your heritage alive can be daunting on youth. YFGG creates a space for their growing minds to not only learn about their roots but promote self and cultural identity. With our dance team and For the Culture program we're bridging the gap among the generations in our community and showcasing a vibrant culture with the community of Omaha. Our youth learn about teamwork, leadership, hard work and get their creative juices flowing in a healthy way with every dance practice and performance or event they participate in.
